Step 1: Disable Jetpack Subscription (The “Safe Pause”)

Goal: Remove the form from the site and stop automatic sends, without losing your data.

1. Remove the form:
   • Go to your WordPress Dashboard.
   • Go to Appearance > Widgets.
   • Find the “Jetpack Subscription” widget. Drag it from your Sidebar/Footer and drop it into the “Inactive Widgets” area at the bottom. This preserves all your settings. If you ever drag it back to the sidebar, it will reappear exactly as it was.
2. Stop the engine:
   • Go to Jetpack > Settings > Discussion.
   • Turn OFF the “Allow users to subscribe to new posts via email” switch.
   • Status: Your site is now “form-free,” but your subscriber database remains safely stored in the Jetpack/WordPress background.

Step 2: Install and Connect Brevo

Goal: Link your site to your new “Growth Engine.”

1. Install the Plugin:
   • In WordPress, go to Plugins > Add New.
   • Search for “Brevo.” Install and click Activate.
2. Connect to your account:
   • Click on the new Brevo menu item in your sidebar.
   • It will ask you to connect. Log in with your Brevo credentials.
   • If it asks for an API Key:
     • Log into your Brevo Dashboard in a new tab.
     • Click your profile icon (top right) > SMTP & API.
     • Copy the API Key.
     • Paste it into the WordPress plugin.
